Case study-
Sofie App

Overview

  • Client: Sofie App (in partnership with Mindbe)
  • Role: UI/UX Designer
  • Ideation & Mapping: Crazy 8s concept sketches and user flow architecture.
Figma UI Design: High-fidelity mobile screens and component-aligned feature layouts ready for development.

The Challenge
& Pain Points

The Client's Need

The Client: Sofie needed a mobile user flow to enable leaders to deliver structured feedback to remote and field employees who are rarely at headquarters. The new feature had to strictly align with their existing design system for seamless code integration.

The User: Team leaders needed a fast, contextual way to manage field staff on the go, while employees needed transparency regarding their goals, real-time work status, and performance reviews.

The Solution

Using insights from pre-provided research, I facilitated a Crazy 8s ideation session to quickly map out the core experience before diving into UI execution.

Streamlined Flow: Designed a clear leader interface featuring a dedicated feedback dashboard, employee directory, and individual worker profiles.

Integrated real-time operational status (e.g., on shift, on break, day off) alongside performance metrics and goals, giving leaders complete context before submitting feedback—all built using Sofie's native design system components.

Working within pre-established design systems and research constraints proved that rapid ideation techniques like Crazy 8s can unlock efficient, high-impact user flows.

Deliverables
